We are very pleased to announce that the Fifteenth Biennial International Congress of Asian Regional Association for Home Economics (ARAHE) will be held in India, from Friday, the 11th till Tuesday, the 15th of December 2009.
　In this Congress, we will celebrate our 25th Anniversary with special events, such as Asian Traditional Costume Show, Interaction and Collaboration, Seminar for Textiles and Fashion, Workshops on Indian Traditional Craft and Cookery, and Study Tour to Schools and Fashion Industrial Park.
　"The Venue is the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS), 120 years old organization serving to Women's Education, having 70 institutions including Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, Nursing, Fashion Technology, Vocational Education, and Information Technology in affiliation with various renowned Universities to name, University of Pune and S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai.　Pune, where MKSSS is located, is about 150 Km from Mumbai.
　The Congress Theme is "SOCIAL UPLIFTMENT THROUGH HUMAN EMPOWERMENT IN PERSPECTIVE OF HOME ECONOMICS".
　Dr. Ela Dedhia is Chair for the 15th ARAHE Congress Organizing Committee.
　Mr. Vishwas Deval, Chair for MKSSS, is Chair for Local Organizing Committee on behalf of MKSSS for ARAHE.
　Dr. Manju Hundekar, Principal of Fashion Technology School, is Coordinator for Local Organizing Committee in MKSSS.
